DDInteractiva captures the emotion of mountain biking with the GoPro 3

DDInteractiva has tested the GoPro action cams, the lightest and most powerful cameras until now. The test consisted on the recording of a video with cyclists, fans of mountain biking, in the lane of San Andrés, next to the Peñón de Bernard.

In order to do that, DDInteractiva team has used the GoPro 1, 2 and 3. The web designer and producer, José Salmerón, states that “we wanted to check the performance of GoPro action cams in complicated situations. Instability of bikes on that rout made it impossible to record in another way. Another objective was to check the video compression in a speed shooting and with irregular images”.

The test results have been satisfactory. Salmerón states that action cams stabilize the image “much more than expected”. However, when it is a question of perfection, the GoPro 3 camera offers images with higher quality than GoPro 1 and 2, which are ineffective to record the ground at so high speed “as compression damages the image”.

As we know the performance of these action cams in this type of shooting, DDInteractiva insists on the importance of a good post-production to stabilize the image. It is a matter of correcting the lens deformation, which is so common in these cameras, and the motion blur.

All these technical appraisals have been reflected on this video that transmits the emotion of mountain biking, a sport that has thousands of fans worldwide.
