The idea “do it yourself” damages the image of companies on the Internet.

Young business people know the lies about the Internet and how to detect false expert. Through the speech “What is not explained about the Internet and social networks”, organised by the Asociación de Jóvenes Empresarios de Almería (AJE) and the marketing and Internet content-production agency DDInteractiva, it has been stated that there is a bubble around social networks.

Unlike what some experts say, called Social Media and Community Managers, Internet is neither free nor cheap. DDInteractiva speakers, José Salmerón and Quique Gómez, have talked about how a bad “praxis” can damage the image of companies on the Internet. This is why knowing the design, development and launch process of an online project has been one of the main points to avoid falling down into that bubble.

People attending the speech have also been told that for a solid image on the Internet it is no use ”do it yourself” or self-generated webs. Therefore, disregarding the online image generates irreversible damage to the reputation of companies. This is the case of webs copying the content of other webs or using videos and images taken with mobile phones.

E-commerce 

Far from macroeconomic figures, the speakers have provided data on e-commerce in Spain, which shows an increase in sales of 11.7% in the third quarter of 2012 with regard to the same period in 2011. The ten most relevant activities, in terms of turnover, were tourism, air transport and direct marketing, among others.
